The 2009 Kettering Scholarship Program will be announce in October 2008.
The Kettering Merit Scholarship is awarded to all qualified students at the point of acceptance. The merit awards are 4.5 year scholarships.
Your Kettering scholarship is in addition to the $40,000 to $65,000 you will earn as a co-op student during your time with us. It is also in addition to any state and federal grants you may qualify for, so don't forget to complete your FAFSA.
Below is a sample of the 2008 Merit Scholarship.
To benefit each student, Kettering University will use either an actual GPA or recomputed GPA (math, science, English only), whichever is higher. Total SAT scores are based on highest math and verbal results only.
Kettering Merit Scholarships may be partly funded through the support of gifts from our generous friends and donors. Kettering University also awards need-based aid. In addition, a student?s earnings from professional co-op can help offset the costs associated with a student?s education. Kettering students earn between $40,000-$65,000 over the course of the professional co-op program. Freshman entering in 2005 earned an average of $12,800 in the first two work terms.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL families are encouraged to file a Free Application For Financial Aid (FAFSA) to take advantage of the University?s need-based aid and state and federal gift aid.
