Kettering Merit Scholarships are awarded to ALL qualified students and reward academic excellence and hard work. All accepted students who meet the following criteria will receive a Kettering Merit Scholarship soon after they have been academically accepted. The merit awards are 4 1/2 year scholarships.
The 2010 Kettering Merit Scholarships

* Not applicable to transfer or international students
Kettering University uses the actual GPA or a recomputed GPA (math, lab science, English only), whichever is higher. The highest individual subject matter scores on the ACT or SAT are calculated to award a merit-based scholarship. Kettering does not use the writing score on either the ACT or the SAT. Also, if a student's grades or ACT/SAT scores improve, Kettering reevaluates and adjust s the scholarship accordingly. All test scores must be received by June 1, 2010.
Kettering Merit Scholarships may be partly funded through the support of gifts from our generous friends and benefactors. Kettering University also awards need-based aid, plus, a student's earnings from co-op which can help offset educational costs.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Nearly 99% of the 2009 entering class received financial aid or scholarships. For this reason, ALL families are encouraged to file a Free Application For Financial Aid (FAFSA) to take advantage of the University's need-based aid and state and federal gift aid.
