Kettering University Merit Scholarships
ALL ADMITTED STUDENTS ARE AUTOMATICALLY CONSIDERED FOR A MERIT SCHOLARSHIP.
Merit Scholarships are awarded to students based academic performance. Academic performance indicators used to assess merit awards include a combination of ACT and / or SAT scores, plus GPA. All accepted applicants are reviewed by the scholarship review committee.
Merit scholarships range upwards from $8,000 per year dependent upon each student's qualifications, and are renewable for up to 4 1/2 years.
Kettering University Need-Based Grants
Need based aid is determined by the results of the FAFSA. All students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA starting January 1 of every year. Each year a student's need based aid is reevaluated to determine the new award for the next year.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In addition to need-based aid and merit scholarships, wages earned as a result of co-op or an experiential learning experience can be used to off-set the cost of a student's education. Click here to review Kettering's Co-op Wage and Benefits Survey. Nearly 98% of the 2009 entering class received financial aid or scholarships. For this reason, ALL families are encouraged to file a Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) to take advantage of the University's need-based aid and state and federal gift aid.
